Our 2 year old daughter loves her pop-up books these days, which gave me the idea of creating some easy pop-up Valentines Day cards! I cut out the pieces while she was napping, and let her go to town on the cards with some glitter pens! (I was walking around Target with ACTUAL glitter in the cart, when thankfully I came to my senses and decided that was a terrible idea…)
She loves stickers too, and had so much fun making these!
Here’s how we did it..
Step 1: Fold 2 sheets of paper in half. (Hamburger style, not hotdog. Remember that from first grade??)
Step 2: Take one of the folded sheets and make 4 cuts, as the picture shows.

Step 3: Push the cut pieces through to the inside of the folded sheet, turning them “inside out.”
Step 4: Tuck the cut sheet of paper into the other folded sheet, and either glue or tape them together.
Step 5: Cut out hearts, or any shape you want, and either glue or tape them to the “pop-up parts” inside the card!
I glued some felt hearts to the front of the card, and let my daughter do the rest!
