This could possibly be the easiest (and most delicious) recipe ever, and hot buttered rum is the perfect warm-up drink for a lazy evening at home. You can make it with or without rum, which is a bonus for those like myself that have been either pregnant or breastfeeding for, well, years..

Homemade Deodorant How-To!
It’s time to get rid of a few of the zillions of chemicals that invade my every day life. Like store bought deodorant, for example! Full of harsh stuff like aluminum chloride and triclosan, it’s not the best thing to be slathering on my skin everyday, particularly while breastfeeding. This recipe I’m going to share with you is really amazing. I tried this for the first time about a year ago when my brother made me a little sample sized container to try, and I was hooked. (Thanks for the recipe, bro!) Although homemade deodorant doesn’t have the antiperspirant component, it works incredibly well as a deodorant. Don’t worry coworkers, I’m not quite ready to give up the antiperspirant just yet on days that I work… Unless you’re expecting to get super sweaty, I think you’ll love this easy recipe! You should be able to find all of the ingredients in your local health food store, and this amount should last you about 2 months. Store at room temp!

Kids Thanksgiving Project
Now that our daughter is two and a half, she’s really going to be able to enjoy the holidays in a whole new way this year. It’s so exciting for her (and for me! Eeek!). Christmas celebrations are pretty obvious for little kids…the tree, the lights, the gifts, a trip to see Santa…no wonder they get excited about it!
I’ve been racking my brain this week trying to think of a way I could get her into the “spirit of thanksgiving.” How exactly do you get a small child to think about gratitude and all of the things they’re thankful for?

It’s harmless to use as a cleaner around your home, and the stuff actually has antibacterial properties and can curb growth of mold and mildew! The list of things that you can do with the stuff goes on for days, but here are my favorite ways to use it around our house.

4 DIY Skin Care Recipes for better skin
These are my 4 favorite DIY skin care recipes. They’re super simple, effective, and they all use cheap ingredients that you probably already have!
- Exfoliate with Lime & Brown Sugar Scrub.
I was at Sephora recently and saw a tiny jar of sugar scrub for $34. I love Sephora as much as the next person, (I’m a major sucker for accruing points that I’ll probably never cash in on..), but that’s crazy! I’ve been making this concoction for a while now, and it’s awesome. It takes a matter of seconds and it smells like a margarita. You can make a larger amount if you want to use it as a body scrub, but I usually just make a small amount and use…
